Solar Car Work Shop Oct. 2026

Build, test, and race your own solar-powered car at the Science Mill! Young engineers will explore how sunlight can be transformed into energy as they assemble and test a working solar car. Participants can take their cars home after the workshop and then head downtown to enjoy the 5th Annual Gears & Beers Car and Motorcycle Show. Car-themed, hands-on activities will also be available throughout the day.

Girl Scout Day

Girl Scout Badge Day will run from 10 am to 4 pm for self-guided activities and workshops. All museum activities are open to the Girl Scouts and their families and are included with the museum admission (except workshops). This year, thanks to the Frank K. Webb Charitable Trust, the first 200 Girl Scouts and Troop Leaders to register receive FREE ADMISSION! Please only register your Girl Scout(s) or Troop Leaders through this site. Other family members will check in and pay at the front desk when arriving.
